Swan Hellenic has introduced its cruise lineup for 2025, unveiling a range of new itineraries spanning West Africa, the Mediterranean, Latin America, the Arctic, and the Antarctic, as outlined in a press release. With destinations including Brazil, the Bijagós Archipelago, Norway, Canada, Argentina, South Africa, Madagascar, and Italy, the offering comprises nearly 60 diverse itineraries.
Patrizia Iantorno, the Chief Commercial Officer of Swan Hellenic, expressed satisfaction with the 2025 itineraries, emphasizing their continuation of the pioneering cultural expedition cruises from 2023 and 2024, while also introducing fresh opportunities for exploration.
A notable addition for 2025 is an exploration of the Amazon River in Brazil, along with two new Mediterranean voyages. The latter journeys delve into the ancient and medieval cultures, many of which hold UNESCO World Heritage status.
One of the Mediterranean cruises, titled “Contrasts of Mediterranean Culture,” spans 10 nights aboard the SH Diana, departing from Palermo for Venice on August 20, 2025. The itinerary explores the Sicilian, Montenegrin, and Croatian coasts, with stops including Lipari, Giardini Naxos, Taormina, Gallipoli, Monopoli, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Split, Hvar, and Rovinj.
Another addition is the 19-night “Exploring South America from Barbados to Brazil” cruise on the SH Vega, setting sail from Bridgetown in Barbados on October 12, 2025, and concluding in Salvador de Bahia in South America. The itinerary includes visits to Georgetown, Paramaribo, Îles du Salut, Belém, the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, Fortaleza, and Recife. A highlight of this cruise is a four-day detour up the Amazon River, exploring Macapa, Iquiqui, and Gurupa in the heart of the jungle, and returning through the Breves Narrows in the Thousand Islands region, upriver from Belém.
