How to photograph Amazon rainforest animals?

If you’re a keen naturalist or an enthusiastic photographer, the Amazon rainforest is likely to be your ultimate location. Bursting at the seams with some of the most beautiful and most exotic animals in the world, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to getting that perfect shot.

Practice

Don’t rely on a zoom lens

Bring a flash

Using F stops of around 2.8 to 4 will give you a narrow depth of field and make the animals that are in focus really stand out. To ensure the animals are as sharp as possible, use as fast a shutter speed so you can and freeze them in their tracks.
