ARRIVAL

Upon your arrival in Iquitos, you’ll receive a warm welcome. From here, you’ll get your first glimpse of the &Beyond Amazon Explorer.
Board a skiff for your inaugural ride, taking in the sights and sounds of the Peruvian Amazon as you leave the city behind. As dusk settles, soak in the enchanting beauty of the world’s largest river system.

MORNING

Start the morning with a tranquil sunrise over the Amazon River, best viewed from the yacht’s Pisco bar deck. Early risers can enjoy birdwatching, with the chance to spot vibrant species like tanagers, parrots, and parakeets as the forest comes alive. After breakfast, join a skiff excursion in search of sloths, squirrel monkeys, and saddleback tamarins.

AFTERNOON

Spend a relaxed afternoon onboard. Later, as temperatures cool, head out on a skiff ride through the calm blackwaters of the Yarapa River. Look for squirrel and woolly monkeys, sloths, pygmy marmosets, white-throated toucans, and yellow-crowned parrots.

Take a short skiff transfer to Nauta and explore its lively food market, where you’ll discover Amazonian culinary traditions—from exotic fruits to wild-caught fish and regional dishes. Then visit Sapi Sapi, a man-made lake rich in local wildlife, including turtles, paiche, and caimans. Return to the yacht for a peaceful afternoon.
