ARRIVAL

Upon landing in Iquitos, you’ll be warmly greeted by your guide and transferred to the town of Nauta. Here, you’ll catch your first glimpse of the Amazon Explorer. Later, set off on your first guided skiff excursion, where you’ll immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Peruvian Amazon.

MORNING

Begin the day at the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañón Rivers—where the Amazon River is born. This iconic site is teeming with wildlife, including pink and gray river dolphins as well as common squirrel monkeys. Afterward, visit a local riverside village for an engaging cultural experience, followed by a stop at a butterfly farm.

AFTERNOON

Return to the yacht and enjoy the afternoon at your own pace. As night approaches, join a guided nature walk to uncover the hidden micro-fauna of the jungle—from pink-toed tarantulas and poison dart frogs to the Amazonian giant scorpion.

MORNING

Kick off the day with a skiff journey to Clavero Lake, a stunning blackwater oxbow lake brimming with wildlife. Here, you’ll enjoy a picnic-style breakfast and have the opportunity to kayak or try your hand at piranha fishing.

AFTERNOON

Spend the afternoon onboard at leisure. Later, set off on a late-day skiff exploration along the Ucayali River to spot riverside wildlife and interact with local fishermen, gaining a deeper understanding of their traditions and daily routines.

MORNING

Before breakfast, embark on an early skiff ride and a short guided walk along the Yarapa River and its lush forest. Keep an eye out for woolly monkeys, sloths, pygmy marmosets, and bird species like the white-throated toucan, yellow-crowned parrots, and yellow-billed tern. After breakfast onboard, visit a nearby community to meet local shamanic practitioners, offering rare insight into their lives and the Amazon’s medicinal plant knowledge.

AFTERNOON

Head out on a forest walk to experience the area’s incredible biodiversity. As night falls, gear up for an exciting nighttime exploration in a Primary Forest—an untouched, ancient ecosystem known for its dense vegetation and rich variety of species.

Take a short skiff ride to Nauta and visit its lively food market. This bustling hub offers a true taste of local life, with displays of exotic fruits, freshly caught fish, and classic Amazonian dishes. Later, head to Sapi Sapi, an artificial lake created by the community, home to turtles, paiche, caimans, and other regional aquatic wildlife. Return to the yacht for a relaxing afternoon.

Join a guided tour of Iquitos, including a stop at the Museum of Indigenous Cultures and a walk through the historic downtown area, where colonial buildings from the Rubber Boom and the vibrant Plaza de Armas await. 3-NIGHT ITINERARY GUESTS

ARRIVAL

Upon arrival in Iquitos, your guide will welcome you and take you to Nauta. There, you’ll board the Amazon Explorer and begin your rainforest experience with a guided nature walk through lush jungle. At nightfall, venture into a Primary Forest for a thrilling nocturnal excursion in one of the Amazon’s oldest and most pristine ecosystems.

MORNING

Embark on a nature walk through the untouched forest near San Isidro in the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve. Discover the massive kapok tree, learn about traditional medicinal plants, and observe squirrel monkeys in their natural setting.

AFTERNOON

Return to the yacht for lunch and enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Later, set out on an afternoon skiff excursion that includes piranha fishing. Toast the day’s end with drinks along the riverbanks, then continue exploring the jungle under the night sky, searching for caimans, frogs, hawks, and other nocturnal wildlife. End the day with stargazing beneath the Amazonian sky.

MORNING

Begin with a skiff adventure featuring a picnic breakfast and more piranha fishing on the calm black waters. Visit a local community afterward to learn about their river turtle conservation efforts—a crucial project aimed at protecting this native species.

AFTERNOON

Wrap up the day with a sunset drink and snack experience on an exclusive sandbar along the Marañón River. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as the sun dips below the horizon.

DEPARTURE
